Clueless au Canada

This is a place for me to post questions and share bon, mauvais et laid (good, bad, and ugly) of moving from Wisconsin to Florida via Quebec.

S'installer

Haven't figured out what to do with the contents of this box yet.
Little by little, boxes are being emptied and relocated to the garage...their contents: a) put someplace that makes sense to somebody; b) put back in a box of crap we don't know what to do with and will deal with later*; c) put in a box for Armee du Salut; or d) thrown away. *"Later" will most likely occur next time we move and wonder why we saved so much crap.

When we're not unpacking, we're still working through the details of moving to a different country. At the end of the upcoming week we will have been in Canada for one month. Only a couple of things NEED to be done this week...finish the arduous process of temporarily importing my car (actually registering and getting Quebec plates-but the Feingold sticker will stay :), and getting Ellie registered. The car needs to be registered this week because our US insurance gave us 30 days of coverage in Canada, and we can't get insurance here until it's registered in Quebec (yes, it HAS taken us this long to get to the registration...there were many hoops to jump through to get to this point.) Ellie needs to be registered because we can't get our dog park access pass without a license.

Believe it or not, this is what passes for progress at our house...
